420Thread sells humor apparel and gifts. This page explains what we collect when you use 420thread.com, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We sell clothing, not cannabis.
Who this site is for
420thread.com is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.
What we collect
- When you vote or sign up: your email address, the design you voted for, the sign-up wording you agreed to, and when you confirmed.
- Where you came from: the link or website that brought you (for example, a post on a social platform) and the page you signed up on.
- When you save your cart or start a checkout and ask for updates: your email and what was in the cart, so we can send you a reminder with a link back to it. We stop when you order or click "no more reminders."
- When you order: your name, shipping address, email, what you bought and order history. Card details go directly to our payment processor; we never see or store them.
- Site usage: pages viewed, the site that sent you, general location (city level), device and browser type, and actions like adding to cart. We use this to see what's working, never to identify you.
How we use it
- Count your votes and, if you signed up, email you when winners are printed and when a new battle starts.
- Process, print, ship and support your orders, including order and shipping emails.
- Understand which posts and sites bring visitors, so we can improve what we make and where we share it.
- Keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Who helps us handle it
We use a small number of service providers, each receiving only what its job requires:
- a website hosting and database provider,
- an email delivery service,
- payment processors,
- a print-on-demand partner that prints and ships orders,
- analytics services that count visits and actions on the site (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and Do Not Track
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. We've turned off Google's advertising features, so this data isn't used to show you ads. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) so we can see where the site is confusing and fix it. Clarity hides what you type into forms, and payment happens on Stripe's own pages, so card details are never part of it. Microsoft may use this data as described in its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com. The site also keeps your cart in your own browser, and uses one essential cookie for our own admin sign-in. Because we don't track you across other sites, we don't change anything in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal.
How long we keep it
We keep your email while you're subscribed and order records as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you unsubscribe, we keep only a record that you opted out, so we don't email you again.
Your choices
- Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll let subscribers know by email first.
